Celebrate Our Book Series #4: Sofia's Headband!

Trust us when we say... you are not too old to pull off this look! Who doesn't want a cute headband for the holiday season? Heck, you could even go matching with your kid! Follow this tutorial for a cute bow-style headband. The style is inspired by Sofia, a lovable main character of our new children's Christmas book, Evy the Evergreen Finds His Shine!

Craft Materials Needed

1 Headband (any kind will do!)

1/8 Yard of Pink Polka-Dotted Fabric

Yellow Ribbon

Hot Glue

Directions

Making the Headband

Step 1: Glue the end of your fabric to the end of the headband.

Step 2: Wrap the fabric around the headband, gluing where needed.

Step 3: Finish by gluing the last part of the fabric to the end of the headband. Cut off excess.

Making the Bow

Step 1: Create a loop depending on the desired size of your bow. Secure the loop with tape.

Step 2: Wrap more ribbon around your loop 4 times.

Step 3: Lay all of the sections down together. Cut the ribbon. Not Pictured: glue the loose end to the neighboring ribbon.

Step 4: Cut triangles at both sides of the ribbon. Make sure to leave some ribbon to keep them connected.

Step 5: Unfold your ribbon to make each of the pointed ends line up with each other.

Step 6: Secure the center by tying a knot with an extra piece of ribbon.

Step 7: Pull each ribbon apart from the others to form a puffy bow!

Now Glue Them Together!

Finally, just glue your bow onto your pink polka-dotted headband!
