OUR STORY

The Isaacson Family

The Christmas Carnival of Lights is hosted at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort in Caledonia, Wisconsin, located just 20 minutes south of Milwaukee. Both the campground and the Christmas Carnival of Lights are owned and operated by the Isaacson family – Randy and Theresa, their three daughters and their families. The Christmas Carnival of Lights family operated along with several key year round employees that devote their individual talents to the light show.

The family first hosted the Carnival of Lights in 2009 after deciding to share one of their favorite holiday traditions – going out and looking at holiday lights together – with their customers. The attraction has grown in popularity every year since as more and more families experience the magic that the Isaacson family has put together.

What makes the Carnival of Lights so special is that their family filled with children reimagines the dancing Christmas lights that are synchronized to the music and displays every season.  Each and every display is one-of-a-kind, so you'll only see the scenes at the Carnival of lights.  From the design, painting, cutting and assembling every display themselves, to adorning the tree tops over 60' in the air, this display is solely set up by our staff and volunteers.  They spend 5 weeks and over 7,500 total hours in October and November  stringing over 2 million lights, setting up the displays and building new ones so that each year the experience grows and has something new to offer.

Experience the wonder of being at a campground and surrounded by nature in the chilly winter months!

We are so excited to be celebrating our 14th year with you!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"Best light show I’ve seen by far! We reserved the sleigh ride. It was super quick and easy on a Wednesday night. We drove from Oshkosh, so over 3 hour round trip but totally worth it. The sleigh ride was so great and worth the price for just two of us... The service was super cheerful. Afterwards we got food and drinks and sat by the fire pit outside. I love how it was set up to roast marshmallows and make s’mores....This campground really knows family entertainment."
